A man armed with a scissors threatened to kill a dog being walked by a woman Friday in Santa Monica, police told NBC4 Investigates.
Officers responded at about 8 p.m. to the 900 block of Broadway near Ninth Street, where a woman told officers a man with scissor approached her while she was her dog. The man threatened to kill the fluffy white dog and lunged toward the animal, the woman told police.
The owner pulled the dog away from the man. No injuries were reported.
The suspected attacker was located nearby, police said. Officers arrested a 65-year-old man on suspicion of animal cruelty.
